As a Salt Lake photographer, I’m always on the lookout for hidden gems where my couples can truly connect with each other and nature. Recently, I stumbled upon one of the most breathtaking spots in northern Utah—a place so untouched that the only way to get there is by hiking or biking. It’s tucked away from the noise of the city, surrounded by wildflowers, mountain peaks, and golden light that seems to pour from every direction.
When I told my couple about it, I half-expected them to hesitate. After all, planning an engagement session usually means choosing a convenient location. But they were immediately on board. They wanted something adventurous, authentic, and full of raw beauty. That’s exactly what this spot delivered.
The hike up was nothing short of magical. We passed through quiet forests, listened to the sound of a nearby stream, and watched the mountains shift colors as the sun moved. By the time we reached the clearing, it felt like we’d stepped into another world. There were no crowds, no distractions—just the two of them, laughing together as the wind swept through the valley.
As a Salt Lake City elopement photographer, I know how important it is to capture moments that feel true to my couples’ story. This adventure session reflected exactly that: their love for each other, their willingness to try something new, and their desire for photos that would transport them back to this day for years to come.
Finding places like this is why I do what I do. Utah is full of secret trails, alpine lakes, and dramatic overlooks waiting to be part of someone’s love story. And whether it’s for an intimate elopement or a once-in-a-lifetime engagement session, I’m always ready to lace up my hiking boots, grab my camera, and chase that perfect light with you.
